The inaugural meeting of the East Coast Section was held on July 24th. at Maldon, Essex, and this was followed by a committee meeting in London on August 28th.

The YHA Sailing Group at Maldon is composed largely of dinghy cruising enthusiasts and it is hoped that, next season, rallies will be held in which both groups will take part.
