RULES 1. NAME The Association shall be the Dinghy Cruising Association, South Coast and East Coast.

2. OBJECT To promote and encourage all forms of cruising in dinghies and similar small craft.

3. BURGEE Blue with a yellow fly and a white triangle on the blue.

4. QUALIFICATION Ordinary — being 18 years of age or over at date of election. FOR MEMBERSHIP Cadet — being under the age of 18 at date of election.

5. OFFICERS The Officers of the Association shall be, President Vice-President Hon. Treasurer Hon. Secretary South Coast Hon. Secretary East Coast

6. COMMITTEES The Officers shall form the Committee, the President or Vice- President being Chairman and a quorum being three. The Section Committees shall each consist of any of the Officers, the Section Secretary as Chairman, and four members elected by the Section of which three shall be boat owners. The quorum shall be three.

7. ELECTIONS The Officers and Committee are to be elected annually and with the exception of the Hon. Treasurer and Hon. Secretaries are not to hold office for more than three consecutive years. Elections will take place at the Annual General Meeting by ballot or on the ballot paper supplied to all members sent to the Hon. Secretary not less than three days prior to the A.G.M.

8. POWERS The management of the Association and the election of new OF THE members shall be under the exclusive control of the Committee, COMMITTEE excepting only the making and altering of rules. They only are to enter into any agreement with any other sailing association or club. The Committees will formulate an annual programme by the 1st of March in each year. They shall be the sole authority for the interpretation of the Rules.

9. ELECTION OF Candidates for election to membership of the Association shall be CANDIDATES FOR proposed and seconded by members of the Association. MEMBERSHIP

10. HONORARY Honorary membership of the Association may be conferred as a MEMBERSHIP distinction for such periods as thought fit by members of the Association at a general meeting.

11. SUBSCRIPTIONS (a) Full Member 7/6 (b) Cadet Member 2/6 Family Membership for two or more members of one family 15/—

Subscriptions shall become due on election and upon the 1st April each year, provided always that any member elected on or after the 13th September shall not be liable to pay another subscription for the year following. All monies shall be paid to the Hon. Treasurer.

12. DUTIES OF THE The Hon. Treasurer shall keep a strict account of all monies received HON. and disbursed by him on the Association’s account and, when so TREASURER requested, submit the same to any meeting of the Committee. He shall present an account for the year at the A.G.M. which shall be published in the Bulletin.

13. ANNUAL The A.G.M. of the Association shall be held where and when decided GENERAL by the Committee. MEETING

14. EXPULSION Every member shall be held to have undertaken, on election, to comply with these rules and any neglect to do so, or any unworthy conduct, shall render the member concerned liable to expulsion from the Association by the Committee.
