The North West Midlands Group There will be a cruise in company at Whit week-end, leaving Tranmere Sailing Club on The Mersey on Saturday 1st June, in the morning (H.W. Liverpool 0800 BST). Members will sail to Heswall on the Dee, for the first night at Hilbre Island. Full information from Joan Abrams. D.C.A. members have been invited by Fiddlers Ferry S.C. to join them in a cruise on 16th June from Fiddlers Ferry to Eastham, possibly carrying on to New Brighton if the weather is good. H.W. at the Ferry is 0745. There is a 25.3’ tide, good for sailing on the Mersey as it is not so swift as to be dangerous and not so small that one runs aground too often!
