SOUTH WESTERN GROUP
The response from members in the South West area has been very disappointing, only two having been interested enough to write. However, as Roger Davies — and Our 01 — have now taken up residence in Plymouth, we have got together and discussed the matter at length. Two rallies will be held in 1969, the first to be in the Tamar area: there are miles of navigable waters in scenery of outstanding beauty, and plenty of launching sites available for those who trail their boats. The second rally later in the summer will be possibly held at Salcombe, Fowey or Falmouth; the venue has not yet been fixed. Invitations will be extended to the President and all who are interested to take part.
A meeting will be called, to which local sailing clubs and sailing schools will be invited to send representatives, and members in the SW area will be circularised to publicise the activities of the D.C.A. Our 01 will be on show, and it is hoped to have a display of D.C.A. burgees, ties and badges (if available), copies of Cruising in Dinghies vols. I and II, copies of the Bulletin, and membership forms. Also, if possible, an executive member present empowered to enrol new members. The date for this meeting, probably in the New Year, has not yet been definitely fixed. Roger Davies will illustrate his talk with slides of D.C.A. activities.
