LONDON MEETINGS REPORT
The last series of meetings was very successful ā often overcrowded ā and all talks were illustrated with excellent colour slides and film.
Next winter we will precede meetings with an informal discussion half-hour. This will enable new members to find things out, distant members to get postal questions answered, and a broader exchange of ideas and information generally.
We are still investigating alternative venues for next winter ā somewhere with a bar on hand and easy parking if possible.
Iām collecting subject matter for the next series of meetings, so if any member has some good ideas, or, better still, if he would like to give a talk on a successful cruise, he would be welcome to get in touch with me at 1 Elderton Road, Sydenham, S.E.26.
REPORT FROM THE GLASGOW GROUP Adam Murrie 88 Belvedere Crescent Bishopbriggs Glasgow
A press mention and contacts made with interested dinghy owners during the Great Outdoor Exhibition (held in Kelvin Hall, Glasgow, 22nd - 29th March) made an introductory meeting possible on Thursday 10th March.
I notified all D.C.A. members in Scotland and received apologies from three, with best wishes.
Seven owners attended the meeting, including Peter Hignet (D.C.A. member) and myself.
A further meeting is organised for May 6th when it is hoped firmer progress will be made towards the formation of a group.
All those attending the first meeting are resident in the Glasgow and Clyde area. Most other D.C.A. members in Scotland are fairly widely distributed and possibly find Glasgow meetings too far away.
