LETTER TO THE EDITOR from Mr & Mrs Jennings

Unknown author 1981 Q1 Bulletin 090/10a Locations: Bristol Channel Boats: Tideway

Although it is being reviewed in the yachting press generally, our members might be glad of a note that the 7th Edition (a much enlarged and improved edition) of the Bristol Channel Yachting Conference Handbook has just been produced.

There is no other yachtsman’s pilot or guide covering the Bristol Channel and its environs comprehensively, and although this is more of a cruiser’s area than a dinghy one, I have no hesitation in recommending it as a very worthwhile book to have. This time it has been produced in loose leaf form in a ring binder, which gives the opportunity to take relevant sheets out and keep them in a clear plastic or polythene folder. A six monthly updating service is also available, which is a new service and more necessary than before because of the additional amount of Admiralty information included.

Single copies can be obtained from the editor:

Mr John T Leech 6c Warwick Road Redland Bristol BS6 6HE

Cost £5, plus postage and packing of £1.53 — total £6.53. Cheques/P.O. should be made payable to ‘Bristol Channel Yachting Conference’.

It would not be right to close without declaring my interest (!) as I am the Hon. Secretary of the Channel Conference. Our DCA interest is mainly through my wife Mary’s Tideway.
