LETTER TO DOUGLAS KNAPP In reply to a letter from Douglas Knapp, the Secretary wrote as follows:-

Unknown author 1984 Q1 Bulletin 102/02

“Your letter was read with very great interest and all at the meeting were very pleased with the way in which the DCA in America had ‘taken off’ under your guidance.

After due discussion among members at the meeting, we felt that the best interests of all parties would be served if we left you to expand the Association as you felt fit to do.

As regards affiliation to the central fund of the DCA, it was felt that a single membership fee from the President or Club of DCA America would be sufficient to retain the reciprocal flow of news and information required. All your monies will be useful for the development of your future. To this end we are returning some recent applications to you as a start on your capital (unfortunately held over pending domestic matters). We know that it will be a little difficult in re-negotiating the money orders, but we are sure that they will help.

Naturally to mark our affiliation we would appreciate a copy of your Bulletin or news sheets, which we can assure you are going to be of tremendous interest here.

In conclusion, the President, Bryan Collins, and all members of the DCA wish you bon voyage, and do write and let us know what happens.

Kindest regards and very best wishes.”
