In a review of the East Coast Boat Show last year I mentioned that this DCA favourite was now produced in GRP. I also said that it was approved by the Tideway (Owners’) Association. This last statement is just not true, for which I apologise; I believed what the salesman told me!

The Tideway Owners’ Association now own the rights to the design, the logo and the name, having taken them over from the original builders. Apparently about 400 wooden Tideways have been built of which 130 are known to the association. The name and address of the secretary is: Ian Prior, 25 Buckingham Street, Bishophill, York YO1 1DW.
