South Coast Winter Meeting
by Liz Baker
Apologies about the clash of events, due to a late change of date of the AGM. This was something Len and I had tried hard to avoid, but ironically, if we had not tried at all, things would have worked out better!
Luckily 18 members were still able to come to The Crown at Emsworth on Sunday, 23 January. We had a much nicer room this time, with more space and better lighting. A projector screen was provided, and the proprietor told me for the future that he could also make available an overhead projector, which would enable us to show prints and charts as well as slides.
A buffet was provided, and after a period of general chatter, during which a lot of photographs were passed around and discussed, my ancient projector was switched on and David Sumner entertained us with some excellent slides of how he cruises in his Mirror. I followed on with a selection from my own collection which hadn’t been aired for a while, including my Scottish cruise, and all too soon it was time to pack-up.
