Sailing Today
This magazine had — or so it seemed to me — gradually moved into the ‘big boat’ camp, with reviews, articles and even adverts, all with the 25’+ sailor in mind. I wrote to the editor, John Keeble about it the other day and had a phone call back.
Good News, it seems! If this has happened, it has not been by design, he tells me. And to reinforce his point, from March 2000 they will be publishing regular features with small boats in mind — on trailer sailing and dinghy cruising. The final format has yet to be decided and it may take a while to get fully into its stride, but it will probably include launching sites shown on their regular Harbour Guides as well as ‘how to’ articles and experiences.
He went on to say that articles from us would be welcome. So if you fancy sending one in, give it a go as they say. And remember to give the DCA a good plug! You might also like to ask your newsagent to reserve you a copy in the new year.
