Our member in Madrid, Ignacio Balbin, sent me an email including picture files of the San Francisco Pelican, which he sails in Spain. I was hoping to get some more details of this characterful craft from the Internet, but it has let me down. Likewise, although I have several complete years of the magazine Wooden Boat, I am missing the one issue that contained a review of this dinghy. As you can see it measures something over 12’ long with 6’-2” beam.

I hope to get some information as to where one can obtain the plans of this dinghy. The concept is similar to that of the Mirror. However the rig should be cheaper to put together as expensive fittings would not be required with this lug rig.
