Cruz in Company

I have just joined the DCA; living inland a towable dinghy for adventure sailing which I enjoy was my choice, I have had over the past years and this year discovered the Topper Cruz; it is light at 120kg, easy to launch and recover, has a lot of initial stability, you can sit in it and sail it, it can be reefed, it beats to windward well and will plane off to the wind and the boom is high enough not to bash one’s head! I have sailed in and around North Wales so far inland and in the sea, being twin masted, unstayed and cat rigged it does look unusual, it also has thin tiller extensions to get around the mizzen mast which is quite handy as you simply change sides and grip the other extension.

I hope to join DCA members this year on some of your cruises and would be pleased to let anyone have a go in Cloud Dancer as it is called, as I think it has a lot of good ideas appropriate for older sailors and those requiring a cruising dinghy that won’t break your back or your bank balance.
