LETTER TO THE EDITOR Dear Joan,

Unknown author 2002 Q4 Bulletin 177/08A

Dear Joan,

I wonder if any members can advise me on a problem I have. I am nearing completion of a 16' outrigger canoe and I anticipate that I may find anchor handling difficult.

Although I will be able to move around the boat like in a dinghy (I will not be seated as in a Kayak) the stern is 6ft 6 inches from the cockpit and the deck is too narrow to venture onto.

I can think of a number of ways of rigging hauling lines etc to recover the anchor/warp from the bow but I would appreciate a tried and tested solution. Any bright ideas, please?
