I seem to recall that there was some mention in a recent edition of the Bulletin about the present badge of the DCA, and whether or not it was still appropriate. As a relative new comer I would not presume to suggest a radical change, even if such should be contemplated. If change is indeed being suggested, then every effort should be made to keep the design simple. Many clubs use their burgee as an emblem, and although we may not wish to be like all the others, our present emblem offers us a burgee with a difference.

I have abstracted the burgee from the front cover of the Bulletin, and coloured it in with the relevant colours. It is very different to the normal type of club representation of their burgee, and might make a suitable emblem. I am sure that there are many members with rather better artistic aspirations than my own poor efforts, but the result does not look too bad (maybe it’s just my poor eyesight!)
